Elite HRV
Frank Overton
Hi Dave! +1 🙋♂️ Great to hear from you in here. I talked to the founder of Elite HRV, recently -- are you getting that reading from a heart rate monitor strap?
I ask because Elite HRV became Spren with the in APP phone camera measurement
Dave Harris
Frank Overton: Hi Frank! Yes, I'm using a Bluetooth chest strap with Elite HRV. Night and day difference from Whoop and HRV4T, much less erratic and tracks with load and sensations. Downside is the TP sync pushes a proprietary HRV derivative instead of rmssd.
I really love what you're doing here. I worked on a similar concept for a couple years, but in the end we didn't hire anyone and the tech hurdles were more than I had time for. Coaches need coaches so here I am!

Dave Harris: thanks! So are you taking a morning reading or an overnight reading with an average?
The good news is that I have a line of communication with the founder and they've already offered to share their API
Dave Harris
Frank Overton: Morning readings. The parasympathetic/sympathetic balance is new to me and illuminating. That day 2 whoop bounce (after a big event) shows up as quite unbalanced in Elite HRV which is what it should be at -50TSB!
Get the founder to push rmmsd! If spren supports external hardware the in-app idea would rock.

I guess the limiter is having to put on a hrm in the morning and firing up the app

If spren supports camera and external device readings - best of both worlds. Re-reading your comment on spren, are you saying Elite HRV is now or plans to support camera measurements? All info I've seen says the app only supports external devices reporting accurate r-r intervals.
